Our 3 km’s of sandy beach is at your doorstep, take a nice long walk along the beach to the national parks of Wallabi Point and Saltwater. If surfing is not for you then Khappinghat creek lagoon area is ideal for swimming and canoeing. Take a picnic lunch or cook up a feast on the gas BBQ facilities, relax and enjoy the area under the cool shade of the trees . Saltwater National Park also offers walking tracks that take in Aboriginal sites relating to dreamtime beliefs.

Driving on the beach is an amazing experience. We do remind you that you will require a permit, which can be obtained locally... but well worth it!

Old Bars heritage listed airstrip - The runway is unique 540 metres long and one of the few runways in Australia made of grass set on a clay base Some of Australia’s top aviators, including Nancy Bird Walton and Charles Kingsford Smith have landed their planes at the airstrip, which is now used primarily by recreational pilots.
